“The Great Western Hotel holds onto its historic charm with stunning bay views from its esplanade location. Its warm, clean rooms and friendly staff offer good value in Oban, especially given its competitive pricing. I find its location ideal for exploring Oban Distillery and nearby islands, although a refresh would certainly elevate the experience.”

moss steeps dated room
The car park needed attention. It looked like it hadn't been swept IN AGES. the scaffolding obscured much of the facade. It was there because they were repairing the roof. I think they could have done a better job informing guests beforehand. The room was nothing special and desperately needs updating.

i was not impressed with the room. water came through the ceiling because of adverse weather. this soaked the floor and also the bed. it made for a pretty uncomfortable night.
